Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
